The guilt first surface when I had the Cardiomyopathies lecture. As I revise the notes for the upcoming exam, the scene of my grandmother lying flat on a bed strikes me again.
Heart failure and periphery oedema! How we could've made her feel better at the end stage of her life had I have this lecture back in last year. All we had to do is adding more pillows to help draining fluid accumulated in her lung.
It is all too late now, but it highlights how important my 4 year studies are and will be. They are knowledge, and knowledge are power no matter if we end up practising it as a profession or not.
